Internship Spotlight: The Climate Reality Project

The Climate Reality Project

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of paid internships at The Climate Reality Project, which is a nonprofit organization founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. The Climate Reality Projectโ€™s mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every sector of society.

The Climate Reality Project offers paid internships in three cycles (spring, summer, fall) that align to typical college semesters. The goal of the internship program is to provide a high-quality learning experience that helps to form the foundation for a career in the climate change or environmental movement for a diverse group of individuals seeking hands-on work experience in the field.

The internship dates for the Spring 2024 cohort are January 22 - May 3, 2024. Compensation is $17/hour with a 15-20 hour minimum commitment per week.

The available internships are listed below. Unless otherwise noted, the internships are hybrid positions in the Washington, DC office where DC-based staff will come to office two days a week.

Fellowship Spotlight: Constellations Fellowship Offers 45 Remote Opportunities

Constellations Fellowship, Global Warming Mitigation Project

Applications are currently being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of the Constellations Fellowship. This program of the Global Warming Mitigation Project supports the next generation of climate leaders by connecting students and recent graduates to professional opportunities at climate organizations.

The Spring 2024 cohort of the Constellations Fellowship are 100% remote, entry-level part-time opportunities that run 12-14 weeks, starting on February 5th, 2024. Fellows will be awarded a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of their fellowship.

The Spring 2024 cohort features 45 fellowship positions available at 23 climate-based organizations. Interested candidates can apply to more than one opportunity.

Fellowship Spotlight: Cathy and Jim Gero Acadia Early-Career Fellowships

Cathy and Jim Gero Acadia Early-Career Fellowships

Applications are currently being accepted for the Cathy and Jim Gero Acadia Early-Career Fellowships. This paid 10-month program provides an opportunity to launch your career and work alongside National Park Service and Schoodic Institute scientists, educators, communicators, and resource managers in Acadia National Park and surrounding areas.

๐ŸŒฑ Three fellowships will be offered in this upcoming cohort: Science Communication Fellow, Environmental Science Education Fellow, and Science Research Fellow.

๐Ÿ—“ Fellowship dates: April 1, 2024 - January 31, 2025

๐Ÿ’ต Compensation: Fellows are paid $19.50/hour for 40 hours a week with housing provided on the Schoodic Institute campus in the Schoodic District of Acadia National Park. In addition, the fellows will receive benefits including sick time and professional development opportunities.

Farmlink FIELD Fellowship

The application deadline is January 5th for the 2024 cohort of the Farmlink Project's Innovation, Education, and Leadership Development Fellowship (FIELD).

FIELD is a nine-month work-study fellowship that blends food system knowledge, entrepreneurial training, and real-world experience. The program is designed to empower students to design solutions to the greatest global food system challenges and includes a paid 10 week internship. No experience in sustainability or food systems is required.

EDF Climate Corps U.S. Fellowship Application Deadline is January 9, 2024

A reminder that January 9, 2024 is the application deadline for the Summer 2024 U.S. cohort of the EDF Climate Corps. This paid opportunity matches graduate students with host organizations where Climate Corps fellows work on climate and energy projects.
