Applications Deadline is November 30 for DOEE Green Fellows Program (DC Area)

The application deadline is November 30 for the next cohort of the DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) Green Fellows Leadership and Development Program.

The program offers paid opportunities for graduate students to explore green careers in the public sector while gaining professional development, networking, training, and other leadership experience. There are four fellowships available in this cohort:

  • Urban Sustainability Administration Green Fellow

  • Environmental Services Administration Green Fellow

  • Clean Transportation & Infrastructure Green Fellow

  • Building Performance Green Fellow

Fellows work a minimum of 24 hours per week starting in February 2026 through September 30, 2026. Applicants must either be:

  • A District resident enrolled into a Master’s-degree program, or

  • Enrolled into a local area college or university’s Master’s-degree program (District residency is preferred, but not required)

Applications Being Accepted for the Summer 2026 EDF Climate Corps Fellowship

The application period is now open for the summer 2026 cohort of the EDF Climate Corps, a premier summer fellowship program for graduate students.

EDF Climate Corps fellows work with companies, public institutions, and non-profits to identity opportunities to reduce emissions and drive sustainable change across their operations and supply chains. The EDF Climate Corps has placed more than 1,900 fellows in its history!

Fellows are matched with host organizations based on interests, skills and host needs. You can view the full list of past organizations on the EDF Climate Corps website. EDF prioritizes projects that work on:

  • Climate commitments and roadmaps

  • Climate-smart food and ag systems

  • Environmental and climate justice

  • Renewables and energy efficiency

  • Supplier engagement and Scope 3

  • Sustainable finance

  • Zero-emission vehicles and fleet transition

Fellowships are available in multiple locations, including New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; and other U.S. cities and towns. Remote, hybrid, and on-site options are available.

Fellows receive a minimum of $1,400 per week for 10-12 weeks, plus $1,400 for participation in Fellow Training. Compensation and relocation support vary by host organization, and will be disclosed to qualified applicants in the project selection process.

50 Full Scholarships to Harvard Kennedy School via the American Service Fellowship (Deadline December 1)

The application deadline is December 1 for the Harvard Kennedy School’s new American Service Fellowship. This program provides a full scholarship and a stipend for at least 50 students to enroll in the one-year Mid-Career Master in Public Administration (MPA) at Harvard Kennedy School.

The fellowship is open to public servants in the United States:

  • U.S. military veterans and active-duty military

  • Federal, state, tribal, and local public employees

  • Alumni of national service programs such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps

Free eCornell Certificate: “Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy”

250 New York State residents can receive free tuition, courtesy of the Climate Jobs Institute (CJI), for the online eCornell certificate: Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy.

This eight-week, online course provides an overview of the climate jobs approach to climate action. This framework emphasizes the creation of high-quality union jobs in the clean energy economy.

The next course cohorts in 2026 are January 7, March 4, and June 3. Registration is open for these dates and enrollment is first come, first serve.

December 3: Final Session in the Fall 2025 NAFSN Career Webinar Series

The final session of the Fall 2025 edition of Finding Your Future in Food Systems, a free webinar series hosted by the North American Food Systems Network is taking place on December 3rd.

The series has featured speakers from a wide variety of sectors within the food systems profession: policy & advocacy, market development, food access initiatives, value chain development, education, and farming, both urban and rural.

December 3: RE+ Midwest Clean Energy Job Fair

Registration is now available for employers and job seekers for the RE+ Midwest: Clean Energy Job Fair in Schaumburg, Illinois! This event is hosted by GRID Alternatives and is free for job seekers to participate.

December 3: Pittsburgh Green Jobs Career Fair

On December 3rd, Dream.org and Frontline Gig will present Dream the Future: A Career Fair Building Pittsburgh’s Green Workforce.

This event is designed to connect local talent with job opportunities in clean energy, green infrastructure, sustainable construction, urban forestry, and the trades. Here is some of what you can expect at the event:

  • Connect directly with hiring employers and training providers

  • Learn about apprenticeships and green career pathways

  • Explore opportunities in solar, energy efficiency, and more

  • Participate in on-site interviews and networking sessions

  • Location: Energy Innovation Center, 1435 Bedford Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA

Online registration is currently closed, but walk-ins will be accepted for this event.

December 3: California State Parks Careers Webinar

On December 3rd from 12 - 1 pm, California State Parks will be hosting a free careers webinar. Attendees will learn about career opportunities in the department and the process of applying for jobs.

December 4: Explore Local Government Opportunities in Climate Action (San Francisco)

On December 4, SF Environment and the City Career Center will host a panel discussion on careers in the environmental sector within local government.

At this event SF Environment professionals will share their career journeys, insights into their roles, and perspectives on the diverse opportunities in the field. This panel is a great opportunity to learn what a career dedicated to advancing climate sustainability can look like.

Green Jobs Network Launches Blue Economy Jobs

Green Jobs Network is excited to announce a new resource for job seekers at BlueEconomyJobs.org

The goal of the initial release of this site is to make it easier to find jobs related to the oceans, marine ecosystems, and other parts of the growing “blue economy.”

The site currently includes a selection of featured jobs and more opportunities available via GJN’s climatechangejobs.com job board. The site also includes access to many other career resources!

Application Period Open for the $50,000 Keeling Curve Prize

The application is open for the 2026 Keeling Curve Prize, an initiative of Climate Curve that will award $50,000 each to 10 global climate initiatives that demonstrate the ability to reduce, replace, or remove greenhouse gas emissions.

Prize categories include energy, finance, carbon sinks, transport and mobility, and social and cultural pathways. Applications are accepted from climate organizations anywhere in the world, regardless of size or status.

The application deadline is January 15, 2026, or when 500 eligible applications are received.

Application Period Open for the 2026 Sage Impact Entrepreneurship Program

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 Sage Impact Entrepreneurship Program. This program is dedicated to accelerating the growth of innovative startups that address the important social and environmental challenges.

Selected startups receive benefits including $10,000 grants (with potential additional awards of $25K – $50K), mentorship, networking, and more!

This will be the second year of this program, which supported 56 organizations in its inaugural year.

This program is open to organizations in the US, UK, France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain. The application deadline is January 5, 2026.
