Last Call! Deadline is October 23 for the RMI Rotational Associate Program

The application deadline is October 23 for the next cohort of the RMI’s Rotational Associate Program.

This program provides approximately 20 full-time, remote U.S. opportunities for early career professionals. This program offers a dynamic, immersive experience across RMI’s initiatives advancing a clean energy transition.

Associates rotate through multiple teams over 12–24 months, gaining exposure to real-world projects in decarbonization, energy systems, and climate solutions. Associates receive a salary of $73,000 and benefits. They are also eligible for annual performance increases during the program.

Last Call! Deadline is October 27 for the Nasdaq Center Milestone Makers: Climate Innovation Cohort

The application deadline is October 27 for the Winter 2026 cohort of Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center Milestone Makers. This is a free 12-week virtual accelerator for early- to mid-stage entrepreneurs. This cohort will support entrepreneurs building scalable solutions that address climate change, environmental sustainability, and the transition to clean energy.

Ideal candidates have some traction (a launched MVP, early customers, or partnerships), are working toward a meaningful business milestone, and are committed to building a more sustainable and equitable future through cleantech innovation.

Program benefits include:

  • One-on-one mentoring and executive coaching

  • Tailored training and milestone-based support

  • Media exposure and a graduation feature on Nasdaq’s Times Square Tower

Applications Being Accepted for the Summer 2026 EDF Climate Corps Fellowship

The application period is now open for the summer 2026 cohort of the EDF Climate Corps, a premier summer fellowship program for graduate students.

EDF Climate Corps fellows work with companies, public institutions, and non-profits to identity opportunities to reduce emissions and drive sustainable change across their operations and supply chains. The EDF Climate Corps has placed more than 1,900 fellows in its history!

Fellows are matched with host organizations based on interests, skills and host needs. You can view the full list of past organizations on the EDF Climate Corps website. EDF prioritizes projects that work on:

  • Climate commitments and roadmaps

  • Climate-smart food and ag systems

  • Environmental and climate justice

  • Renewables and energy efficiency

  • Supplier engagement and Scope 3

  • Sustainable finance

  • Zero-emission vehicles and fleet transition

Fellowships are available in multiple locations, including New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; and other U.S. cities and towns. Remote, hybrid, and on-site options are available.

Fellows receive a minimum of $1,400 per week for 10-12 weeks, plus $1,400 for participation in Fellow Training. Compensation and relocation support vary by host organization, and will be disclosed to qualified applicants in the project selection process.

Free Energy Efficiency Training Available in Cincinnati

Residents of Cincinnati have an opportunity to access now free Building Performance Institute (BPI) training and certification. Through this pilot program you can obtain training to work on residential energy efficiency retrofit projects and earn one of these nationally recognized credentials:

  • Building Science Principles (BSP)

  • Building Analyst Technician (BA-T)

  • Building Analyst Professional (BA-P)

Training is delivered by Home Energy Services Group, with Quality Training, Precision Inspections, a certified BPI Test Center. This opportunity is being provided via a partnership between Green Umbrella Regional Climate Collaborative and the Cincinnati Office of Environment & Sustainability

November 5: Next Session in the NAFSN Career Webinar Series

The Fall 2025 edition of Finding Your Future in Food Systems, a free webinar series hosted by the North American Food Systems Network, is underway!

The series includes speakers from a wide variety of sectors within the food systems profession: policy & advocacy, market development, food access initiatives, value chain development, education, and farming, both urban and rural.

The speakers are from job-creating organizations, agencies, and businesses, some working locally in their communities, others with national or international scope. This program is produced by college students for college students and others.

UK Releases Clean Energy Jobs Plan

On October 19, the UK government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero released the Clean Energy Jobs Plan. This represents the country’s first national workforce plan for the clean energy sector, with a goal of creating 400,000 jobs by 2030.

The report includes information on new training and workforce initiatives that will be launched to achieve this goal, outlines 31 priority occupations that are in demand, and much more. You can view the report and supplemental data here.
