Last Call! Deadline is August 29 for National Geographic Society & The Nature Conservancy Marine & Community Conservation Externship

The application period is now open for the Fall 2025 Marine and Community Conservation Externship Program.

This is a program of the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy and provides training, mentoring and research experience for people ages 18-25. Over the course of the program, externs explore the knowledge, tools, and relationships they need to seek solutions and take action for nature.

Here are key details about this program: 

  • 10 hours per week for 8 weeks (September 15, 2025 – November 8, 2025) 

  • Fully remote 

  • Open to applicants worldwide 

  • This program is intended for people ages 18–25 to build the knowledge, tools, and relationships needed to seek solutions and take action in their communities.

  • Prior work experience or coursework in conservation or environmental topics is not required 

  • $500 stipend upon program completion. 

Externs will gain knowledge and develop skills in areas including marine conservation, investigative research, public speaking, and more.

45 Remote Opportunities Available in Fall 2025 Cohort of Constellations Fellowship (Apply by September 7)

Applications are currently being accepted for the Fall 2025 cohort of the Constellations Fellowship. This is a program of the Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP) that supports the next generation of climate leaders by connecting students and recent graduates to professional opportunities within GWMP’s global network of climate organizations.  

These fellowships are 100% remote, entry-level part-time opportunities that provide hands-on professional development and career-building skills. The Fall 2025 cohort features more than 45 fellowships, which you can view below.

This cohort will start on September 29th and run for 12-14 weeks. Fellows will be awarded a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of their fellowship.

This program is open to students and recent graduates (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral) and Interested candidates can apply to more than one opportunity. Additional information is in this FAQ.

Deadline Approaching for 25 Jobs in Environmental and Social Impact via the FUSE Executive Fellowship

Don’t miss the application cycle for the Fall 2025 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellowship! This is a program of FUSE Corps, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows are experienced professionals with at least fifteen years of work experience. Fellows are full-time employees of FUSE Corps and receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. Learn About Applying for the 2026 Echoing Green Fellowship at Information Session on September 10

The application period will open on September 17 for the 2026 Echoing Green Fellowship, which provides support to entrepreneurs worldwide who are working to address social or environmental challenges. The fellowship provides seed funding of $100,000, capacity building services, and connection to a global community of innovators.

Echoing Green will host a free online information session on September 10 where team members provided tips on how to build a strong application. You can register for this event here and view a video of last year’s information session below.

Application Period Open for Cecil Corbin-Mark Fellowship for Environmental Justice Leadership

WE ACT for Environmental Justice is currently accepting applications for the Cecil Corbin-Mark Fellowship. This fellowship honors the legacy of Cecil Corbin-Mark, a highly respected leader in the environmental justice movement who passed away in 2020, and who served as WE ACT’s Deputy Director.

During this 1-year fellowship participants will work on WE ACT campaigns alongside experienced environmental justice leaders. Fellows will gain experience in environmental justice areas including environmental health, environmental justice policy, and community organizing. Fellows will also receive leadership development training as well as networking and learning opportunities.

This fellowship is based in New York City and includes an annual salary of $70,000, plus benefits.

Registration Available for RE+ Clean Energy Job Fair in Las Vegas on September 10

Registration is open for employers and job seekers for the RE+ Clean Energy Job Fair in Las Vegas. This event is hosted by GRID Alternatives in collaboration with WRISE, SEIA and SEPA, and is free for job seekers to participate.

Greentown Labs to Host Climatetech Career Fair on September 11

Greentown Labs, the largest startup incubator in North America, is hosting a climatetech career fair at their Somerville, Massachusetts location (444 Somerville Ave.) on September 11 from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
