25 Jobs in Environmental and Social Impact Available via the FUSE Executive Fellowship

FUSE Corps

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2025 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellowship. This is a program of FUSE Corps, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows are experienced professionals with at least fifteen years of work experience. Fellows are full-time employees of FUSE Corps and receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. The Fall 2025 cohort features the following 25 fellowships in areas of environmental and social impact in 15 regions across the United States:

Applications Still Being Accepted for 2025-2026 Cohort of SolarCorps Fellowship

SolarCorps Fellowship

Applications are still being accepted for the next cohort of the SolarCorps Fellowship. This is a program of GRID Alternatives and provides a career pipeline for individuals into the clean energy industry through an 11-month apprenticeship model. More than 300 people have served as fellows in this program!

The 2025 – 2026 cohort runs from September 15, 2025 to August 14, 2026. Fellows receive a $40,800 stipend over the 11 months and additional benefits.

Paid positions are located in California, the D.C. area, and New Mexico. Remote and location-flexible positions are also available.

2025-2026 Fellowship opportunities include:

  • Solar Design, Operations, & Maintenance

  • Project Management & Development

  • Clean Mobility access

  • Solar Workforce Development & Training

Application Deadline is August 4 for the E2 1 Hotels Fellowship

E2 1 Hotels Fellowshi

Applications are still being accepted for the 1 Hotels Fellowship at E2. The fellowship is a collaboration between Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) and 1 Hotels and provides support to early and mid-career professionals who identify important environmental challenges in the U.S. and lead projects that elevate the business and economic case for smart policy solutions.

Key details about this program include:

  • Six fellowships will be awarded.

  • The fellowship period is January 2026 – December 2026. 

  • Each fellow receives a $10,000 award to support their project.

  • Fellows will receive support from E2 and NRDC staff to complete their selected projects.

  • Fellows will become part of E2 and its Emerging Leaders Program, which provides mentorship, press opportunities, and other professional development support.

July 24: Nationwide Public Service Career Fair

July 24: Nationwide Public Service Career Fair (Virtual)

Building on their successful event in May, the Partnership for Public Service will be hosting an online nationwide public service career expo for current or former federal employees on July 24.

This event will include opportunities from state and local governments across the country in a variety career fields for all experience levels from early career professionals to senior executives. This event is free for exhibitors and attendees. To learn more and register click here.

July 24: Building the Green Workforce Across Ohio

Ohio Workforce Coalition

On July 24 at 1:00 pm Eastern, the Ohio Workforce Coalition will host a webinar Building the Green Workforce Across Ohio.

The webinar will highlight successful initiatives that drive green job creation, training, and innovation. Renée Timberlake (Greater Cleveland Works), Teneah Chambers (City of Columbus), and Thanapat Vichitchot (FUSE/City of Cincinnati) will share their efforts to equip the next generation with the skills needed for jobs in clean energy, environmental management, and sustainable infrastructure.

August 5: ASES Solar Career Fair in Boulder

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) will be hosting a Solar Career Fair on August 5 from 2 - 5 pm at the Glenn Miller Ballroom at the University of Colorado Boulder. This event is part of the ASES National Solar Conference.

$25 Million Emerging Climate Champions Award Launched

Applications are being accepted for the Emerging Climate Champions Award, a new $25 million global open call sponsored by the Enlight Foundation and The Patchwork Collective. This award will provide flexible multiyear gifts of $1 million each to youth-led organizations advancing climate solutions.

Organizations worldwide are encouraged to apply and the Award welcomes eligible organizations working across a full spectrum of climate issues and solutions, including education, movement building, climate justice, science / technology, economic opportunity, community resilience, conservation, advocacy, sustainable agriculture, and disaster preparedness. 

Organizations must register to apply before 5 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on August 15, 2025. Once registered, applicants must submit an online application before 5 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on September 22, 2025.

50 Full Scholarships Available to Harvard Kennedy School via the American Service Fellowship

American Service Fellowship - Harvard Kennedy School

Earlier today, Harvard Kennedy School announced the American Service Fellowship. This program provides a full scholarship and a stipend for at least 50 students to enroll in the one-year Mid-Career Master in Public Administration (MPA) at Harvard Kennedy School.

The fellowship is open to public servants in the United States:

  • U.S. military veterans and active-duty military

  • Federal, state, tribal, and local public employees

  • Alumni of national service programs such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps
