Applications Period Open for 2025-2026 Cohort of SolarCorps Fellowship

SolarCorps Fellowship

Applications are still being accepted for the next cohort of the SolarCorps Fellowship. This is a program of GRID Alternatives and provides a career pipeline for individuals into the clean energy industry through an 11-month apprenticeship model. More than 300 people have served as fellows in this program!

The 2025 – 2026 cohort runs from September 15, 2025 to August 14, 2026. Fellows receive a $40,800 stipend over the 11 months and additional benefits.

Paid positions are located in California, the D.C. area, and New Mexico. Remote and location-flexible positions are also available.

2025-2026 Fellowship opportunities include:

Applications Being Accepted for E2 1 Hotels Fellowship

E2 1 Hotels Fellowshi

Applications are still being accepted for the 1 Hotels Fellowship at E2. The fellowship is a collaboration between Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) and 1 Hotels and provides support to early and mid-career professionals who identify important environmental challenges in the U.S. and lead projects that elevate the business and economic case for smart policy solutions.

Key details about this program include:

  • Six fellowships will be awarded.

  • The fellowship period is January 2026 – December 2026. 

  • Each fellow receives a $10,000 award to support their project.

  • Fellows will receive support from E2 and NRDC staff to complete their selected projects.

  • Fellows will become part of E2 and its Emerging Leaders Program, which provides mentorship, press opportunities, and other professional development support.

New Episode of the Green Jobs Pod Spotlights Careers at the Intersection of Health Care and Sustainability

Green Jobs Network is excited to announce that a new episode of the Green Jobs Pod is now available.

This episode features an interview with Amy Collins M.D. and Dr. Shanda Demorest, two leading voices in the sustainable health care movement. Amy and Shanda serve in leadership roles at Health Care Without Harm and Practice Greenhealth, organizations at the forefront of transforming health care into a driver of environmental sustainability and climate action.

Dr. Amy Collins is an emergency physician and a sustainable health care professional. She serves as the Medical Director at Health Care Without Harm and Practice Greenhealth and leads their health professional engagement work. In her role she leads the Health Care Without Harm Climate-Smart Collective, a national network of health professionals committed to reducing the environmental impact of health care and advancing climate-smart health care through mitigation, resilience, and leadership.

Shanda Demorest, DNP, RN, PHN is the Senior Director for Network Experience & Solutions at Health Care Without Harm and Practice Greenhealth. Dr. Demorest earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Health Innovation and Leadership from the University of Minnesota, and she holds the LEED Green Associate credential through the U.S. Green Building Council.

In addition, the Climate Advocacy Lab is currently accepting applications through July 6th for the next cohort of their Climate + Health Peer Learning Circle. This is a free training program designed for health professionals from diverse disciplines - including nursing, medicine, public health, behavioral and mental health, social work, veterinary medicine, and other clinical and health-related fields - who want to elevate their impact in addressing climate change.

This cohort combines in-person workshops and virtual sessions and is open to those in the Western & Southern U.S. (a complete list of states are here).

July 17: Coalition for Climate Careers Event in Seattle

The King County Executive Climate Office, in coordination with the Coalition for Climate Careers (C3), will be hosting an event during PNW Climate Week.

The program will include an overview of C3, a call to action panel on projects in the region, interactive breakout activities, and more!

July 24: Nationwide Public Service Career Fair (Virtual)

Building on their successful event in May, the Partnership for Public Service will be hosting an online nationwide public service career expo for current or former federal employees on July 24.

This event will include opportunities from state and local governments across the country in a variety career fields for all experience levels from early career professionals to senior executives. This event is free for exhibitors and attendees. To learn more and register click here.
