The application deadline is June 20 are now being accepted for the Summer 2025 Freshwater and Community Conservation Externship Program offered by the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy.

During the Externship, participants will learn about freshwater conservation careers from weekly webinars featuring National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy experts, explore curated digital content, and create a community-based conservation project to practice research, storytelling and presentation skills.

Here are key details about this program:

  • 10 hours per week for 8 weeks (July 14, 2025 - September 7, 2025)

  • Fully remote

  • Open to applicants worldwide

  • This program is intended for people ages 18–25 to build the knowledge, tools, and relationships needed to seek solutions and take action in their communities.

  • Prior work experience or coursework in conservation or environmental topics is not required

  • $500 stipend upon program completion.

Applications Being Accepted for E2 1 Hotels Fellowship

E2 1 Hotels Fellowshi

Applications are now being accepted for the 1 Hotels Fellowship at E2. The fellowship is a collaboration between Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) and 1 Hotels and provides support to early and mid-career professionals who identify important environmental challenges in the U.S. and lead projects that elevate the business and economic case for smart policy solutions.

Key details about this program include:

  • Six fellowships will be awarded.

  • The fellowship period is January 2026 – December 2026. 

  • Each fellow receives a $10,000 award to support their project.

  • Fellows will receive support from E2 and NRDC staff to complete their selected projects.

  • Fellows will become part of E2 and its Emerging Leaders Program, which provides mentorship, press opportunities, and other professional development support.

Applications Being Accepted for 2025-2026 Cohort of SolarCorps Fellowship

SolarCorps Fellowship

Applications are currently being accepted for the next cohort of the SolarCorps Fellowship. This is a program of GRID Alternatives and provides a career pipeline for individuals into the clean energy industry through an 11-month apprenticeship model. More than 300 people have served as fellows in this program!

The 2025 – 2026 cohort runs from September 15, 2025 to August 14, 2026. Fellows receive a $40,800 stipend over the 11 months and additional benefits.

Paid positions are located in California, the D.C. area, and New Mexico. Remote and location-flexible positions are also available.

2025-2026 Fellowship opportunities include:

  • Solar, Battery, & EV Charger Installation

  • Solar Design, Operations, & Maintenance

  • Project Management & Development

  • Clean Mobility access

  • Solar Workforce Development & Training

  • Community Outreach

Last Call! Application Deadline is June 15 for $2,500 HVAC HERO Scholarship

HVAC HERO Scholarship

June 15 is the application deadline for the HVAC HERO Scholarship. This program will award $2,500 to up to 30 students pursuing an HVAC degree or certificate at a community college, trade school, or technical institute.

This scholarship is an initiative of the EGIA Foundation to support people pursuing residential HVAC or home performance contracting careers. More than 100 scholarships have been awarded in the history of this program.

Last Call! Free Climate Action Academy for Next Generation of Ocean & Climate Advocates

U.S. SailGP Climate Action Academy

Applications are still being accepted for the U.S. SailGP Climate Action Academy, a partnership between the United States SailGP Team and Sustained Futures that is designed to empower young people with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to become leaders in ocean and climate advocacy.

The program consists of six online sessions starting on June 18, featuring keynote conversations, interactive workshops, and real-world challenges that equip participants to take action in their communities.

Westchester County Clean Energy Jobs & Resources Fair

The Westchester County Clean Energy Jobs and Resources Fair will be on June 18 from 2 - 6 pm at the Westchester County Center (198 Central Avenue) in White Plains, NY.

At this event participants will be able connect with employers, network with clean energy professionals, and explore education & training programs. 

In addition, the fair will includes a panel session "Empowering Change: Turning Challenges into Clean Energy Opportunities." The panel will feature a clean energy trainer, a leading employer, and influential voices from the environmental justice and workforce development sectors. Panel: Westchester County Clean Energy Jobs & Resources Fair

July 17: Coalition for Climate Careers Event in Seattle

The King County Executive Climate Office, in coordination with the Coalition for Climate Careers (C3), will be hosting an event during PNW Climate Week.

The program will include an overview of C3, a call to action panel on projects in the region, interactive breakout activities, and more!
