Calvert Impact

Calvert Impact is a global nonprofit investment firm that helps investors and financial professionals invest in solutions for people and the planet. During its 28-year history, Calvert Impact has mobilized approximately $5 billion to build and grow local community and green finance organizations.

They are currently hiring for the roles listed below. A number of these jobs are with Climate United. The Climate United Fund was recently awarded nearly $7 billion from the EPA’s National Clean Investment Fund and will be working to help reduce emissions and support sustainable economic development across the country.

Bryant Williams Environmental Justice Fellowship

Applications are being accepted for the Bryant Williams Environmental Justice Fellowship. This fellowship honors and commemorates the legacy of Bryant Williams, an environmental Justice leader from the southside of Chicago. You can learn more about Bryan Williams here.

The Fellowship strives to support individuals at the beginning of their journey into the environmental justice field. The fellowship provides a one year paid placement at a Chicago environmental justice organization, professional development support, the cultivation of a support network and the opportunity to participate in activities intended to foster the fellow’s long term social justice impact, personal well being, community relationships, and professional success.

This full time fellowship provides a $50,000 stipend and benefits including a $5,000 healthcare stipend. This year’s host organization is the Southeast Side Environmental Task Force (SETF).

Applications Being Accepted for SolarCorps Fellowship

SolarCorps Fellowship

Applications are currently being accepted for the next cohort of the SolarCorps Fellowship. This is a program of GRID Alternatives and provides a career pipeline for individuals into the clean energy field via an 11-month apprenticeship model. More than 300 people have served as fellows in this program!

The 2024-2025 cohort runs from September 16th, 2024, to August 15th, 2025. Fellows receive a $37,400 stipend over the 11 months and additional benefits.

Paid positions are located in California, the D.C. area, and Puerto Rico. Remote and location-flexible positions are also available.

2024-2025 Fellowship opportunities include:

Applications Being Accepted for New Maryland Climate Corps

The Maaryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation

Applications are currently being accepted for the new Maryland Climate Corps! This program is part of the Service Year Option and will offer paid service opportunities for Marylanders to get involved protecting their community from the impacts of climate change while receiving workforce training to access a green job or educational opportunity after their service.

Maryland Climate Corps members will earn at least $15/hour and $6,000 in a Maryland 529 account or as a cash stipend upon successful completion of the nine-month program. Members will also receive professional development support, job training, mentoring and other benefits.

This is a nine-month full-time program that starts in September and concludes in summer of 2025.

Last Call! Application Deadline is May 24 for Council on Environmental Quality Fall 2024 Internships

The White House

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) within the Executive Office of the President offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year. CEQ interns are supervised by CEQ staff, and provide critical research and writing assistance on a range of environmental policies such as implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act, environmental justice, sustainability, climate change, resilience, public lands, water, and transportation.

CEQ offers part-time (16 – 34 hours per week) and full-time (minimum 35 hours per week) internships, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week. Internships are based in Washington, DC. 

CEQ may consider applications from prospective interns on a rolling basis. For the Fall 2024 cycle (which is from September 16 – December 20), the recommended application deadline is May 24, 2024.

Last Call! May 27 is Application Deadline for 30 Remote Opportunities in Summer 2024 Cohort of Constellations Fellowship

Global Warming Mitigation Project

Applications are due May 27 for the Summer 2024 cohort of the Constellations Fellowship. This program of the Global Warming Mitigation Project supports the next generation of climate leaders by connecting students and recent graduates to professional opportunities at climate organizations.

The Summer 2024 cohort of the Constellations Fellowship are 100% remote, entry-level part-time opportunities that run 12-14 weeks, starting on June 17th, 2024. Fellows will be awarded a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of their fellowship.

The Summer 2024 cohort features more than 30 fellowship positions. Interested candidates can apply to more than one opportunity.
