Calvert Impact is a global nonprofit investment firm that helps investors and financial professionals invest in solutions for people and the planet. During its 28-year history, Calvert Impact has mobilized approximately $5 billion to build and grow local community and green finance organizations.

The Climate United Fund was recently awarded nearly $7 billion from the EPA’s National Clean Investment Fund and will be working to help reduce emissions and support sustainable economic development across the country.

New FUSE Executive Fellowship Available in Los Angeles

FUSE Executive Fellowship in Los Angeles

FUSE Corps is a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies. FUSE Corps has worked on more than 250 projects in 42 cities and counties across 18 states serving a combined population of 25 million people. 

FUSE Executive Fellows are experienced professionals, with most having at least 12-15 years of work experience. Fellows are full-time employees of FUSE Corps and receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year.

Applications are being accepted for a new climate-focused fellowship available in Los Angeles. The fellowship period is July 22, 2024 - July 21, 2025 and the preferred application deadline is May 29, 2024.

Applications Being Accepted for Electricity Policy Legal Fellow at Stanford University

The Environmental and Natural Resources Law & Policy Program (ENRLP) of Stanford Law School and the Climate and Energy Policy Program (CEPP) of Stanford’s Woods Institute for the Environment are currently accepting applications for an Electricity Policy Legal Fellow.

This full-time fellowship is intended for early-career attorneys with a strong interest in the implications of climate and energy policy design and implementation for energy affordability, environmental justice, and climate resilience during the transition to a decarbonized energy system. It offers a hands-on opportunity to apply legal skills and expertise to address active climate and energy policy challenges in California and beyond.

The expected base pay range for this fellowship is $70,000-$80,000. This position is for a one-year fixed term, with possible extension for a second year subject to funding availability. To learn more and apply click here.

American Climate Corps jobs

Green Jobs Network is excited to announce that opportunities in the new American Climate Corps are available via ClimateChangeJobs.com.

The American Climate Corps was first announced by the Biden Administration in September 2023 and is an initiative to train 20,000 young people in high-demand skills for jobs in the clean energy economy. The ACC jobs portal was launched on Earth Day and currently features more than 200 opportunities.

Working Lands Climate Corps Launched

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced that applications are now being accepted for opportunities at host sites in the new Working Lands Climate Corps (WLCC).

WLCC is part of the American Climate Corps and will train the next generation of conservation and climate leaders, providing technical training and career pathway opportunities for young people and helping them deliver climate-smart agriculture solutions for farmers and ranchers.

20 Finalist Teams Announced for XPRIZE Carbon Removal

XPRIZE

Earlier this week XPRIZE announced the 20 finalist teams selected to compete in the last stage of XPRIZE Carbon Removal. These finalists were selected from more than 1,300 teams from countries around the world.

The final stage of the competition will take place over the next year as finalist teams are challenged to demonstrate 1,000 net tonnes of CO2 removal. These demonstrations will be judged on their fully considered cost, operational performance, and ability to meet sustainable scalability requirements.

The grand prize winner will receive $50M in April 2025 and $30M will be distributed among the runners up.
