Calvert Impact is a global nonprofit investment firm that helps investors and financial professionals invest in solutions for people and the planet. During its 28-year history, Calvert Impact has mobilized approximately $5 billion to build and grow local community and green finance organizations.

More than 75 Opportunities Available via the Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship Program

Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship Program

The application deadline is approaching for the next cohort of the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship (CEIF) which will provide more than 75 opportunities.

Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship (CEIF) Host Sites

This program funds recent graduates and energy professionals to spend up to two years with eligible Host Institutions, which may include electric cooperatives, grid operators, municipal utilities, public utility commissions, state energy offices and Tribal entities.

Fellows will receive a competitive stipend, health insurance, and an annual allowance for professional development. Reimbursement of relocation expenses may also be provided, if applicable.

Fellows are expected to begin their appointment in July or August 2024. The fellowship appointment is for one year and may be renewed for a second year.

New FUSE Executive Fellowship Available in Los Angeles

FUSE Executive Fellowship in Los Angeles

FUSE Corps is a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies. FUSE Corps has worked on more than 250 projects in 42 cities and counties across 18 states serving a combined population of 25 million people. 

FUSE Executive Fellows are experienced professionals, with most having at least 12-15 years of work experience. Fellows are full-time employees of FUSE Corps and receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year.

Applications are being accepted for a new climate-focused fellowship available in Los Angeles. The fellowship period is July 22, 2024 - July 21, 2025 and the preferred application deadline is May 29, 2024.

Applications Being Accepted for Paid Summer Internships at SEIA

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is a nonprofit founded in 1974 that serves as the national trade association for the solar and solar + storage industries and is creating the framework for solar to reach 30% of U.S. electricity generation by 2030.

SEIA is currently hiring for a number of paid summer internships:

Application Deadline is May 3 for DSCEJ's HBCU Environmental Justice & Climate Corps Summer Internship Program

DSCEJ's HBCU Environmental Justice and Climate Corps Internship program

May 3 is the application deadline for the HBCU Environmental Justice and Climate Corps Internship program. This program from the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ) provides five interns with an opportunity to work on a research-to-action project with a community-based organization in the following cities: New Orleans, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Gulfport, MS; Mobile, AL; and Pensacola, FL.

Interns will conduct research in one of the following areas: Environmental Justice, Climate Change, Food Security, Environmental Health Disparities, and Environmental Policy

This is a paid internship opportunity and interns will receive $3,000. Applicants should have a passionate interest in environmental justice and climate change advocacy, be attending a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and be a rising undergraduate Junior or above (including graduate student).

American Climate Corps Jobs Portal Launched

American Climate Corps jobs portal

The American Climate Corps jobs portal was officially launched earlier this week. You can explore opportunities and sign-up for updates at climatecorps.gov.

The American Climate Corps was first announced by the Biden Administration in September 2023 and is an initiative to train 20,000 young people in high-demand skills for jobs in the clean energy economy.

The new jobs portal currently features more than 250 opportunities, which you can search by location, work environment, and focus area. The site is currently in beta and will include additional jobs as the American Climate Corps grows.
