More than 15 Jobs Available via the FUSE Executive Fellowship (Multiple Cities)

FUSE Corps

Applications still being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellows. This is a program of FUSE Corps, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. For FAQs on the Fellowship program click here.

The Spring 2024 cohort features more than 15 fellowships in areas of environmental or social impact in selected cities across the United States.

Multiple Opportunities Available with the MassCEC Fellowship Program

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center

Applications are currently being accepted for multiple opportunities with of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) Fellowship Program. MassCEC is a state economic development agency dedicated to accelerating the growth of the clean energy sector across the Commonwealth.

The following fellowships are currently available for the second half of 2024 cycle (July-December):

  • Community Energy and Environmental Justice Fellow

  • Clean Technology Innovation Fellow

  • Workforce Development Fellow

  • Workforce Development, Environmental Justice and Research Fellow

  • Solar Equity and Climate Finance Fellow

The fellowship program at MassCEC is a paid program and includes educational and networking opportunities. MassCEC is based in Boston.

Fellowships Available with the Climate Action Campaign

Climate Action Campaign

Applications are currently being accepted for opportunities with the Climate Action Campaign (CAC) Fellowship. This is a paid internship program that is designed to immerse participants in the environmental advocacy field. Assignments vary and are designed to both support CAC in its mission to support action on climate change and assist the fellow with their professional growth.

There are two fellowships currently available:

The fellowship program lasts for 13 weeks, with an ideal start date of May 13, 2024  and fellows participate for 20 hours/week. Fellows are paid $18.00 per hour, as an hourly non-exempt position.

CAC is based in Washington, D.C. The organization is currently working in a hybrid environment with fellows expected in the office 2-3 times per week. You do not need to be based in Washington, DC to be considered for the fellowship. Staff will work East Coast hours regardless of their location.

Multiple Paid Remote Internships Available via MobilizeGreen

VirtualIntern, powered by MobilizeGreen

Applications are being accepted for remote internships for the summer of 2024 through the VirtualIntern program, which is powered by MobilizeGreen.

Interns will be matched with a nonprofit organization and gain real-world project-based learning, soft skills training, and career readiness development. Projects will be in areas such as:

  • Sustainability & The Environment

  • Environmental Justice

  • Community Engagement

  • Project Management

  • Finance & Operations

  • Marketing & Communications

  • Philanthropy & Fundraising

  • Data & Technology

These are paid internships and require an 8-week commitment. Stipends are between $5,400 - $7,360 for the program, depending on academic level. Interns must commit to  full-time work during core business hours. Interns will also receive ongoing training/professional development opportunities throughout the internship.

Applicants must be a rising college junior, senior, or graduate student with a demonstrated interest in or passion for nonprofit management, equity, and environmental justice.

Term of service: June 17, 2024 โ€“ August 9, 2024; Full-time 40 hours per week

Key dates:

  • Deadline to apply is March 31, 2024

  • Interviews will be completed by April 19, 2024

  • Matching will occur by April 30, 2024

Application Period Now Open for DSCEJ's HBCU Environmental Justice & Climate Corps Summer Internship Program

DSCEJ's HBCU Environmental Justice and Climate Corps Internship program

This program provides five interns with an opportunity to work on a research-to-action project with a community-based organization in the following cities: New Orleans, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Gulfport, MS; Mobile, AL; and Pensacola, FL.

Interns will conduct research in one of the following areas: Environmental Justice, Climate Change, Food Security, Environmental Health Disparities, and Environmental Policy

This is a paid internship opportunity and interns will receive $3,000. Applicants should have a passionate interest in environmental justice and climate change advocacy, be attending a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and be a rising undergraduate Junior or above (including graduate student).

Key dates:

  • May 3, 2024: Application Deadline

  • June 10, 2024: Internship Begins

  • Aug. 9, 2024: Last Day of Summer Internship

  • March 8, 2025: Presentation at HBCU Climate Conference

Last Call! Application Deadline is March 15 for IREC Summer 2024 Internships

IREC Summer 2024 Internships

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), a nonprofit that builds the foundation for rapid adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency, is currently accepting applications from college students and recent graduates (and law students) for multiple paid summer internship opportunities

Four remote internships are available across IRECโ€™s departments (Workforce Development, Local Initiatives, Regulatory, and Communications).

One paid internship is available within IRECโ€™s Puerto Rico-based team within the Local Initiatives department.

In addition, IRECโ€™s Regulatory team has a paid internship available for law students (click here for details).

All internships will take place from June through August 2024. To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume using the form after selecting the internship youโ€™re interested in from this page.

Internship applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until March 15, 2024, or until the positions are filled.

The application deadline is March 8th for the next cycle of Dream.Org's Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund. Selected applicants can receive up to $3,500 for technical training, coursework, and professional certifications in climate change and sustainability.
