FUSE Corps

Applications still being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellows. This is a program of FUSE Corps, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. For FAQs on the Fellowship program click here.

Applications Being Accepted for Mass Audubon’s Environmental Fellowship Program

Mass Audubon’s Environmental Fellowship Program

Applications are currently being accepted for Mass Audubon’s Environmental Fellowship Program (EFP). EFP is a 14-month paid fellowship that expands early career opportunities for young professionals with identities that have been historically underrepresented in the environmental and conservation fields.

Throughout their fellowship, fellows gain hands-on experience within a Mass Audubon department, build professional connections in the environmental field, cultivate relationships with mentors within and beyond Mass Audubon, and acquire the tools to center Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Accessibility (DEIJA) in their work, as they embark upon their careers.

The following fellowships are available:

  • Arts and Education Fellow

  • Bird Conservation Fellow

  • Climate Education Fellow

  • Ecological Restoration Fellow

  • Land Conservation Fellow

  • Nature in the City Fellow

These are paid opportunities and applicants must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree by the start of the fellowship. The fellowships are based out of Mass Audubon’s office in Lincoln, MA (except for the Arts & Education Fellow, which is based at Mass Audubon’s Museum of American Bird Art Education Center in Canton, MA). The application deadline is March 15, 2024.

Applications Being Accepted for MassCEC’s Cleantech Venture Investment Fellowship

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is currently accepting applications for its Cleantech Venture Investment Fellowship. MassCEC is a state economic development agency dedicated to accelerating the growth of the clean energy sector across the Commonwealth to spur job creation, deliver statewide environmental benefits and to secure long-term economic growth for the people of Massachusetts.

The Cleantech Venture Investment Fellow will work alongside the Investments team to source, evaluate, complete, and manage equity and venture debt investments in the most promising clean energy start-ups in Massachusetts, and assist with other related programs. MassCEC's fellowship program also includes a number of educational and networking opportunities.

This is a paid fellowship and you must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree with excellent academic standing to be eligible. MassCEC is based in Boston. To learn more and apply click here.

Applications Being Accepted for Etzioni Internship in Climate Tech Journalism at GeekWire

GeekWire

GeekWire, a technology business news website based in Seattle, is currently accepting applications for the Etzioni Internship in Climate Tech Journalism for summer 2024. This is a paid ($20/hr.) full-time internship that will take place from June 10 - August 30.

The intern will have the opportunity to report on climate technology startups, academic research, and funding in the Pacific Northwest’s climate tech hub. The intern will also receive mentoring from GeekWire staff.

This internship will be based in the Seattle area, working from home or office with some in-person meetings and assignments.

Applicants should be pursuing or recently completed a degree in journalism or communications with a focus on news coverage, or demonstrated experience in journalism. The application deadline March 15, 2024.

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is currently accepting applications for two remote internships:

The interns will work remotely with innovation leadership and program teams to help identify, design, and implement innovative approaches to TNC’s work to enhance the impact of their projects. The areas in which interns may work include Conservation, Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications and Operations.

IREC Summer 2024 Internships

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), a nonprofit that builds the foundation for rapid adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency, is currently accepting applications from college students and recent graduates (and law students) for multiple paid summer internship opportunities

Four remote internships are available across IREC’s departments (Workforce Development, Local Initiatives, Regulatory, and Communications).

One paid internship is available within IREC’s Puerto Rico-based team within the Local Initiatives department.

In addition, IREC’s Regulatory team has a paid internship available for law students (click here for details).

All internships will take place from June through August 2024. To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume using the form after selecting the internship you’re interested in from this page.

Internship applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until March 15, 2024, or until the positions are filled.

Last Call! Application Deadline is February 23 for Council on Environmental Quality Summer 2024 Internships

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) within the Executive Office of the President offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year. CEQ interns are supervised by CEQ staff, and provide critical research and writing assistance on a range of environmental policies such as implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act, environmental justice, sustainability, climate change, resilience, public lands, water, and transportation.

Dream.Org's Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund

Applications are now being accepted for the next cycle of Dream.Org's Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund. Selected applicants can receive up to $3,500 for technical training, coursework, and professional certifications in climate change and sustainability. In its history Dream.org has awarded scholarships to more than 600 people!
