FUSE Corps

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellows. This is a program of FUSE Corps, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. For FAQs on the Fellowship program click here.

The Spring 2024 cohort features more than 15 fellowships in areas of environmental or social impact in selected cities across the United States.

Application Deadline is February 19 for Gigascale Capital's Summer MBA Fellowship

Gigascale Capital's Summer MBA Fellowship

Gigascale Capital, a climate-focused investment firm, is currently accepting applications for two paid summer fellowships. Fellows should be MBA students between their first and second year with a demonstrated strong interest in working in climate.

Fellows will be an active member of Gigascale Capital’s investment team, participating in internal and external meetings on a day-to-day basis.

This is a paid, full-time in-person (Palo Alto, California) 10 week opportunity from June through August of 2024. The application deadline is February 19, 2024. To learn more and apply click here.

Applications Being Accepted for IREC Summer 2024 Internships

IREC Summer 2024 Internships

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), a nonprofit that builds the foundation for rapid adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency, is currently accepting applications from college students and recent graduates (and law students) for multiple paid summer internship opportunities

Four remote internships are available across IREC’s departments (Workforce Development, Local Initiatives, Regulatory, and Communications).

One paid internship is available within IREC’s Puerto Rico-based team within the Local Initiatives department.

In addition, IREC’s Regulatory team has a paid internship available for law students (click here for details).

All internships will take place from June through August 2024. To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume using the form after selecting the internship you’re interested in from this page.

Internship applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until March 15, 2024, or until the positions are filled.

Application Deadline is February 23 for Council on Environmental Quality Summer 2024 Internships

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) within the Executive Office of the President offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year. CEQ interns are supervised by CEQ staff, and provide critical research and writing assistance on a range of environmental policies such as implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act, environmental justice, sustainability, climate change, resilience, public lands, water, and transportation.

Internships are paid, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, and are based in Washington, DC. You can download a flyer with information about this program by clicking here.

U.S. Senate Early Career Opportunities Webinar: February 14

On February 14th the U.S. Senate Employment Office will be hosting a free virtual information session for students and recent graduates.

This session will discuss entry-level employment and internship opportunities with U.S. Senate Member and Committee offices, how to find and apply to Senate vacancies, and application tips and insight. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in our live Q&A forum.

Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), in partnership with GRID Alternatives, will be hosting a FREE Virtual Clean Energy Career Fair on March 28, 2024. The two organizations collaborated on a career fair in 2023.

Dream.Org's Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund

Applications are now being accepted for the next cycle of Dream.Org's Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund. Selected applicants can receive up to $3,500 for technical training, coursework, and professional certifications in climate change and sustainability. In its history Dream.org has awarded scholarships to more than 600 people!

Last Call! Application Deadline is February 12 for the $50,000 Keeling Curve Prize

Keeling Curve Prize

February 12 is the application deadline for the 2024 Keeling Curve Prize, an initiative of The Global Warming Mitigation Project that will award $50,000 each to 10 global climate initiatives that demonstrate the ability to reduce, replace, or remove greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Prize categories include energy, finance, carbon sinks, transport and mobility, and social and cultural pathways. Applications are accepted from climate organizations anywhere in the world, regardless of size or status.
