FUSE Executive Fellowship - Accepting Applications for Spring 2025 Cohort - 29 Opportunities in 16 Regions

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2025 cohort of the FUSE Executive Fellows. This is a program of FUSE, a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and communities to more effectively address pressing challenges by placing experienced professionals in local government agencies.

FUSE Executive Fellows receive an annualized base salary of $80,000 plus benefits. Fellowships begin as one year assignments and may be renewed for a second year. For FAQs on the Fellowship program click here.

Spotlight: Fellowships

This bonus spotlight features a number of paid fellowships. Click on a fellowship title to learn more about the program:

Offered by the Aldo Leopold Foundation, the Future Leaders Program Fellowship is a 12-month, full-time program that provides early-career individuals with hands-on experience in areas including conservation leadership, applied science, and land ethics. Fellowships specialize in Education & Communications or Land Stewardship. This is a paid fellowship and fellows are provided with housing at the Future Leaders Center in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The application deadline February 1, 2025.

The UNH Sustainability Fellowships will place students and recent graduates with host organizations to work on sustainability initiatives during the summer of 2025. Some fellowships are open to students from institutions across the U.S. The application deadline is February 9, 2025.

The NJ Sustainability Reporting Fellowship is a program of CivicStory, a nonprofit news organization. Starting the week of February 24, 2025, this fellowship will equip and compensate New Jersey reporters for producing sustainability stories. During the fellowship, participants will be introduced to subject matter experts in ecology and civics. The program provides motivated, passionate journalists with insights, new contacts, and myriad story ideas for the communities served by their newsrooms. The application deadline is January 29, 2025.

The Rachel Carson Council’s NELF program is designed for students passionate about environmental education, organizing, and advocacy. Fellows propose projects focused on sustainability and environmental justice to be implemented on their campuses or in their communities. Fellows receive a $2,000 stipend for their work during the academic year and attend a 2–3-day summer training program to enhance their skills.

Green Jobs Network has added Resume Review and Voice Chat to the newest version of ClimateJobs.AI, its suite of AI-powered career services.

Version 3.0 of ClimateJobs.AI includes these new features:

📝 Resume Review. A common request GJN receives is for resume assistance. In 2024, GJN released ClimateJobsGPT (available in the OpenAI GPT Store), which enables users to upload a resume and receive feedback. Now, resume review is available directly via ClimateJobs.AI.

You can upload a resume (or input it as text), and optionally indicate the job and employer you will be using this resume for. You’ll then receive personalized insights and actionable tips for improvements.

Green Jobs Network has launched Social Impact Jobs, a new job board that focuses on social impact & nonprofit career opportunities. This job board is available at socialimpactjobs.org

Site features for the initial release include:

✅ A career hub with links to social impact fellowships and many of the great job boards in the social impact and nonprofit landscape around the world.

Since its founding more than 15 years ago Green Jobs Network mission has been to support people who want to use their skills to help build a healthier and more just world. This reflects a holistic vision about the importance of a number of different issues, many of which are interconnected.
